MEDRAD believes that it is our responsibility as a corporate citizen to help strengthen the communities in which we live and work. We encourage our employees to become involved in their communities, lending their time, energy and expertise to programs that enrich the quality of life and opportunities for all citizens.
The MEDRAD Points of Light is a community outreach organization established by MEDRAD's employees and supported by management. It allows MEDRAD to share its success with neighbors in need through donations of manpower and employee-raised funds. Points of Light employees conduct approximately 20 volunteer and fundraising events every year.
One day each year, MEDRAD suspends plant operations so that employees can spend the day in various volunteer activities. To our knowledge, it is the largest single company volunteer event in the U.S. with 700 employees volunteering in Pittsburgh and around the world. Many permanent volunteer partnerships have resulted from this very special event.
