We believe that sustainable development has always made good business sense and such concepts are not new to us. Some great examples of MEDRAD’s sustainable actions that have improved our business are:
- LEED certification of the Global Center and the Saxonburg manufacturing facilities
- Recycling upwards of 80% of our waste stream
- Product programs that reduce both MEDRAD material demand and the customers’ waste stream
- Consolidation of distribution operations that reduces the number of shipping legs
- Transition to radiation sterilization which eliminates use of greenhouse gases in the terminal sterilization of our syringes
- MEDRAD’s annual Day of Caring, celebrated for over 16 consecutive years
- Corporate representation on non‐profit management boards and in the regions where we operate

We strive to deliver on this mission each and every day and have always used sustainable practices as a means of doing so – now we have given it an official name: Sustainable Development.
