Q: What first attracted you to MEDRAD?
A: What attracted me to MEDRAD was the company’s reputation of excellence and employee satisfaction. As a recent graduate, I was eager to find a position within a secure company with programs in place that would allow me to gain experience and develop my career. MEDRAD is a company that is constantly striving to improve and grow. A winner of many notable awards including the Pittsburgh Tech Council Tech 50, the National Manufacturing Excellence Award for the Heilman Center, and the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, I soon learned that I could not have found a better place to begin my career.
Q: How do you add value to MEDRAD?
A: I add value to MEDRAD by taking on projects to improve processes in our department. For example, right now I am working on a new process improvement for one of our service products. Ultimately this new method will provide our end users with a much better experience and improve customer satisfaction.
Q: How do you make a difference at MEDRAD?
A: As a Customer Support Specialist, I am in contact with MEDRAD’s customers on a daily basis. It is important to provide the most professional, thorough support to our internal and external customers. Especially for our external customers, this may be the only interaction they have with a person at MEDRAD, so the experience they have must be a positive one.
Q: Why choose MEDRAD?
A: Choose MEDRAD because of the company culture that exists due to the dedication of employees, the executive staff, and our CEO. It is evident in the way we treat each other and the pride that MEDRAD employees have for their workplace. One of my favorite things about MEDRAD is that it is a big, flourishing company with a small, family feel. The people are friendly and want to get to know each other…It’s definitely a place that values fellowship as well as success.
Q: What is your most memorable experience at MEDRAD?
A: My most memorable experience at MEDRAD was being recognized by the Field Service Manager’s for working on New Year’s Eve, a holiday for MEDRAD employees. It was also the very last day of our fiscal year. Several members of our department, including my manager and supervisor, had volunteered to work. I had heard stories about how busy year-end can be, but I didn’t fully understand the impact I would have that day. In fact, I may never have realized it if it weren’t for the recognition provided by the managers. Each manager had a few words to say to thank us and remind us that they couldn’t do their jobs without us. As a new member of the department it was a surprise and an honor, and that first recognition that I received as a MEDRAD employee has continued to be a motivation for me every day when I walk into this building.
