SafeSeal Hemostasis Patch design

The Difference is in the Design
With a pull of the elevated tab — an integrated gauze pad removes the excess blood, the adhesive patch is uncovered, and the MPH particles are smoothly released over the puncture site. One Pull — Quick and Simple.

Watch the MPH beads go to work without mixing or activating. The clear-site window allows verification of hemostasis and the surrounding adhesive bandage protects the site, holding the MPH micro beads in place. One person can easily apply the integrated bandage while removing the sheath.

Reduces Discomfort and Aids Recovery
The MPH technology is a safe and natural purified plant starch, with no reported adverse events. The unique MPH beads remain topical without granuloma or other side effects.

The SafeSeal Patch’s distinctive design provides a secure barrier while the straight edge of the patch aligns with the femoral crease. The distinct design aids placement and increases patient comfort. Even ACT compromised patients experience reduced time to ambulation1.

The SafeSeal Hemostasis Patch:

  • Is non-invasive, easy to use and economical.
  • Builds on a familiar technique with a clear-site window that allows accurate placement and quick evaluation of hemostasis.
  • Accelerates wound closure even in ACT-compromised patients.
  • Contains no bovine thrombin or animal-derived components which may cause systemic reactions.

The SafeSeal Patch Advantage

Time savings
The SafeSeal Patch is quick to deploy and may substantially reduce hold time, allowing nurses and technicians to focus on other critical activities.

Patient safety
The SafeSeal Patch significantly reduces the risk of systemic reaction that can be caused by bovine thrombin (Factor V) or other animal-derived components. MPH Beads are produced from a non-toxic, natural starch that is fully bio-absorbable, without side effects such as granuloma. The SafeSeal Patch is not indicated for patients with known allergies to starch products.

Patient comfort and recovery
Access site management with the SafeSeal Patch may reduce the duration of uncomfortable manual pressure. Used in conjunction with manual compression, the SafeSeal patch may reduce time to ambulation.

The difference is in the design

The SafeSeal Patch contains unique micro beads that facilitate dehydration of the blood cells. This concentrates and compresses cells, platelets and fibrin at the vessel access site.
