Winner of the 2008 Medical Design Excellence Award, XDS immediately stops the injection when pooling fluid is detected under the patient’s skin.   Unlike similar products, XDS is the only extravasation detector built on RF Wave Technology, which has been shown to minimize false positives.  This technology enables quick and highly accurate detection of extravasated fluid at less than 20mL, but typically between 5mL and 11mL.
