Joseph Havrilla
Chief Technology & Strategy Officer

Joseph Havrilla was named Senior Vice President of MEDRAD’s Magnetic Resonance Strategic Business Unit in 2007, responsible for overseeing the development and marketing of MEDRAD’s full line of MR-compatible accessories and patient care products. MEDRAD’s MR product portfolio includes vascular injection systems, surface coils, monitors, infusion pumps and sound systems designed to operate safely and effectively within the highly magnetic MR environment.

Joseph HavrillaJoe has also held the role of Senior Vice President of Corporate Innovation since 2003. As such, he is responsible for corporate research, innovation, business development, strategic planning and intellectual property. His product development leadership has helped the company launch numerous pioneering new products leading to a sustained 15% annual growth rate. Joe personally holds over twenty United States and foreign patents.

He joined MEDRAD as a research engineer in 1983. Promoted through MEDRAD’s new product development organization, his team brought some of MEDRAD’s most innovative products to market, including MCT/MCT+, the Front Load Syringe, Mark V, Envision®, Stellant®, prefilled cartridges, Spectris® and Spectris Solaris®, ProVis® and the 9500 monitor line.

Before joining MEDRAD, Joe held technical and engineering management positions at Xerox, Inc., Rockwell International, Inc., and Recognition Equipment Corporation. He received an MBA in 1982 from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA.

Joe serves on the Advisory Boards of Point Park University and a local manufacturing company. He has been a frequent lecturer at seminars and symposiums and is active in the local community.
